Many of my woodwind players were previously using worn-out or mismatched reeds, which made it difficult to produce a consistent sound, develop proper embouchure, and stay motivated. This has allowed rehearsals to move more efficiently and helped students focus on musicality instead of struggling with equipment limitations. Access to proper reeds also ensures equity across the ensemble, so every student has the tools needed to succeed and grow as a musician. Immediately, they began practicing proper technique, following rhythms, and playing along with our band music.\r\n\r\nCurrently, we are using the new drums to strengthen their timing, coordination, and ensemble skills.
