The book has been especially helpful to explain budgeting at a teenage level and assist them with creating their own personal budgets. This has helped them keep track of their personal spending, which has helped them refine their budgets. I have every student track their income and expenses for 90 days. This has always been one of the more difficult assignments for my students. After reading and discussing the chapters on budgeting, this year's class appears to have much better understanding of importance of the assignment.\r\nAnother section of the book that has inspired my students is the portion related to investing. We participate in The Stock Market Game each year. Again, this year's class is much more engaged than classes in previous years. They have a better understanding of the stock market as well as other investment opportunities. Perhaps more importantly, they understand which purchases are not investments. We will transition to \"Rich Dad, Poor Dad\" in the next nine weeks.","fullyFundedDate":1766450880753,"projectUrl":"project/create-effective-personal-financial-habi/9878946/","projectTitle":"Create Effective Personal Financial Habits In SPHS Teenagers","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Gregory","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10343241_orig.jpg?crop=1360,1360,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768932660756","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10343241"},{"teacherId":10343410,"projectId":9879895,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our Ðǿմ«Ã½ project. Because of you, our students now have access to a professional-grade compact audio console.\r\n\r\nWith this technology, our students are gaining real-world experience in both live and recorded audio production. They are managing sound for school and community events, which most recently was our Christmas drama performance of 'Every Christmas Story Ever Told'.\r\n\r\nIn addition, students are using the console as a digital audio workstation, integrating industry-standard software, Logic Pro, to edit audio for video and media projects. These hands-on experiences are helping them build valuable, industry-recognized skills in sound engineering, media production, and event technology.\r\n\r\nYour investment is doing more than providing equipment—it's opening doors. You are helping students train on the same tools they will encounter in higher education and the workforce, bridging classroom learning with real career pathways.\r\n\r\nWe are extremely grateful for your belief in our students and their futures.
