My first graders have already begun exploring the new materials during our engineering centers, and their reactions were priceless—wide eyes, huge smiles, and eager hands ready to build. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students work together to design a bridge strong enough to hold a stack of books; they tested, rebuilt, and celebrated each successful improvement. It was the perfect example of teamwork, perseverance, and joyful learning.\r\n\r\nThese resources are helping my students think like real engineers. They're using the materials to problem-solve, test ideas, and explain their thinking to one another. Students who are often quiet during whole-group lessons are suddenly leading conversations as they build and design. The confidence boost has been incredible.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include starting a series of mini-STEM challenges tied to our science standards—building models of animal habitats, creating simple machines, and exploring force and motion. Your support has given my students the tools to imagine, experiment, and discover every single day. Thank you for giving them opportunities that spark curiosity and open doors to future possibilities.","fullyFundedDate":1763474757839,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning/9599464/","projectTitle":"Hands on Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Emerson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10029028_orig.jpg?crop=834,834,x124,y262&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763481559696","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10029028"},{"teacherId":10029052,"projectId":9446664,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, our classroom now has beautiful bookshelves and a variety of picture books that my students can easily see and access.
