The incentives you provided—small plushies, finger lights, character erasers, and pencil toppers—have become powerful tools in motivating my young readers to stay engaged and push themselves farther than before.\r\n\r\nWe introduced the items during our reading intervention block, and one memorable moment came during a \"Glow and Read\" fluency practice. Students used the finger lights to track each word as they read, and the room was filled with quiet focus and bright little beams moving steadily across their pages. For some of my most reluctant readers, that simple tool turned reading from a challenge into something magical.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our classroom and for bringing such joy and motivation to my students. The \r\nMac Book has really motivated my students to do their best on the state test. As a matter of fact, 10 out of my 15 English learners pass the ELPAC test, which is a state test this year. In addition, by allowing my students to use the Mac Book during instruction both there writing and comprehension skills have improved a lot. Besides that, the students have shown a lot of growth on IREADY which is a reading program used by my district. Most of the students are at grade level in both reading and math thanks to this Mac Book. Once again thank you for everything you've done for my students. Your thoughtful contribution is greatly appreciated and will have a profound impact on the students I work with.\r\n\r\nAs you may know, intervention groups are designed to provide additional support to students who need a bit more help to reach their full potential in reading and literacy. Many of the children I work with face challenges that can sometimes make traditional classroom settings feel daunting. The reading pillows you provided will help create a more inviting and comfortable space for these students to engage in their learning. For students who struggle with maintaining focus, the comfort of these pillows can be a game-changer, making them feel more at ease and ready to focus on improving their literacy skills.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the pillows, your donation of incentive prizes is an invaluable resource. Positive reinforcement is such an essential component of any successful intervention, and these prizes will serve as tangible rewards for students' efforts, progress, and achievements. In turn, this encouragement will help them build their self-confidence, stay engaged, and develop a lifelong love of reading. It's often the small, thoughtful gestures that go a long way in fostering a positive learning environment, and your donation is certainly one of those.","fullyFundedDate":1733353598516,"projectUrl":"project/reading-with-wiggles-and-comfort/8634371/","projectTitle":"Reading With Wiggles and Comfort","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Arroyo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1489601_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1523394467344","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-darroyo"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_53639","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":413,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"24.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.1,"schoolId":53639,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Blanche Charles Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Blanche Charles Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/calexico-unified-school-district/blanche-charles-elementary-school/53639"}
