The excitement on our fourth graders' faces when the robots were delivered was truly amazing to see. Their eyes lit up with curiosity and anticipation as we unboxed each kit. A couple of students even rolled up their sleeves and helped assemble the mBots, taking great pride in being part of the process from the very beginning.\r\n\r\nOnce the robots were up and running, it didn't take long for students to learn basic actions like moving forward, turning, and spinning. From there, they took on a greater challenge—programming their mBots to navigate a maze. Working in small groups, students had to write code, test it, and then continuously revise their instructions to ensure their robot avoided blocked areas and stayed on course. This hands-on activity not only sharpened their coding skills but also sparked a genuine enthusiasm for measurement and math, as they eagerly calculated and adjusted distances to perfect their robot's path.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful for your support, which has opened the door to such engaging and meaningful learning experiences. The students are already asking what we will use them for next, and we are excited to continue using the mBots as a platform for problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. Thank you again for investing in our fourth graders and in the bright, curious minds of these students!","fullyFundedDate":1746591354997,"projectUrl":"project/robotic-fun/9190612/","projectTitle":"Robotic Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Giovanetti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3736550_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1500680772405","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3736550"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_3771","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":495,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":44,"percentAsian":43,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"24.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":89.3,"schoolId":3771,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Marshall Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Marshall Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/castro-valley-unified-school-district/marshall-elementary-school/3771"}
