This is my first year teaching Science and along the way I have identified supplies that would help my class run more smoothly. I added those items to this project and thanks to you I will be able to use the supplies in my classroom to implement new norms.\r\n\r\nThe students have really enjoyed the white boards as we have used them to work in groups at stations supporting a thinking classroom. When students get to stand and collaborate they learn best. The students are able to practice with more ease due to the new system and create teams to support more gaming functionality. The headphones provide soundless gaming abilities that help with the listening to your teammates and coaches without screaming over each other. \r\n\r\nThe games and SD cards provide more storage and better gaming options once inside the club to help connect everyone to something they love to play. Riles Middle School's library! Library standards dictate science and technology books should be updated every 5 years, although, with school budgets being what they are, this rarely happens. Our science and tech books are 20 years old, at least, so these new additions will help tremendously.\r\n\r\nUpdated science and math books in school libraries offer many benefits to our students. As science is constantly evolving, updated books ensure our students are learning current and accurate information, preventing them from being taught outdated concepts. Newer editions also feature improved visuals and interactive elements with more engaging writing styles, making the learning process more enjoyable for students.\r\n\r\nBy exposing our students to the latest scientific advancements and research, updated books help prepare them for future careers in STEM fields and equip them with the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to navigate our rapidly changing world. Newer books also incorporate different learning modalities, such as visual aids, diagrams, and interactive exercises, helping students grasp complex concepts more effectively.\r\n\r\nHere at Wilson C. Riles Middle School, our library plays a crucial role in the success of our students. The library offers a wide range of resources, beyond textbooks, allowing our students to explore topics in greater depth. It is also a dedicated space for students to study, research, and collaborate on projects, free from distractions. By providing access to updated science books and a supportive learning environment, our school library empowers our students to develop a strong foundation in science, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Students from diverse backgrounds come together in soccer club and have the ability to participate without any boundaries of access to equipment or supplies.\r\n\r\nMany students have had the opportunity to try new positions thanks to your donation that allowed us to get things like goalie gloves, giving all students an equal opportunity to participate. The new jerseys have supported the inclusion of all students as they can easily identify teammates while still trying to get to know each others names.\r\n\r\nFinally, I cannot even begin to explain how ecstatic the students were for the new goals! Our old ones left splinters and took 10-15 minutes to set up. The new goals are sturdier and are set up within 3 minutes of the start of the club. They worked hard to create a list of materials they could use to pass out to students in recognition. Their purpose was to recognize students and create a positive culture and community.\r\n\r\nThey have used these materials throughout the semester, putting together gift bags to recognize positive behavior and celebrate birthdays.
