When the snacks arrived, my students were excited and eager to get to work. Seeing the boxes of snacks made the project feel real, and they immediately understood how important these resources would be. Many of my students know firsthand what it feels like to be hungry during the school day, so this project was deeply meaningful to them.\r\n\r\nMy students worked together to assemble snack packs that are now available for students who need a snack during the day—especially those who are still hungry after meals. These snack packs help students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. Through this process, my students learned the importance of compassion, responsibility, and teamwork. They took pride in knowing that something they created would directly help their peers feel cared for and supported.\r\n\r\nThis project taught my students that helping others does not require something big or complicated—sometimes it starts with meeting a basic need. Your donation empowered my students to turn empathy into action and to see that they can make a real difference in their school community. Thank you for believing in my students and for helping us create a kinder, more supportive learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1761572685371,"projectUrl":"project/from-our-classroom-to-the-community-end/9850403/","projectTitle":"From Our Classroom To The Community: Ending Hunger Together!!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Loera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp247648_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1545811690185","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/nancyloera"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7729","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":469,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":91,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"22.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.1,"schoolId":7729,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rosecrans Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Rosecrans Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/compton-unified-school-district/rosecrans-elementary-school/7729"}
