We've been using the wheels to investigate concepts like motion, force, friction, and speed while creating clay forms. One memorable moment came when students experimented with wheel speed and water amounts, then compared how the clay responded—suddenly abstract science vocabulary turned into something they could see and feel right in front of them.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the pottery wheels, the room buzzed with excitement. Many had never touched a wheel before, and there were lots of wide eyes and \"We get to use these?\" moments. Even students who are usually hesitant to participate jumped in, eager to test their ideas and learn through trial and error. The materials immediately made learning feel special, creative, and accessible.\r\n\r\nNext, students will build on this experience by designing their own small experiments, changing one variable at a time and documenting how it affects the clay's movement and shape. They'll connect their observations to scientific principles and reflect on how art and science overlap. Because of you, my students aren't just learning science—they're experiencing it, and that curiosity and confidence will stay with them long after this project ends. Thank you for giving them this opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1762554557010,"projectUrl":"project/from-stem-to-steam-the-magic-of-the-pot/9874076/","projectTitle":"From STEM to STEAM: The Magic of the Pottery Wheel","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Doctorian","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9531726"},{"teacherId":3632342,"projectId":9941564,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our project, A Clean Space Helps Us Learn!
