However, in the past 10 years or so, the majority of my students tend to spend this time engrossed with their cellphones/electronics instead of interacting with one another. This year, I'd like to change that by providing my students an opportunity to connect or reconnect with their peers by providing board games for them to play. I think these teenagers just need a little reminder that there more than just screen time and that they can enjoy their time another way that involve human interactions; an art that is lost amongst younger generations and adults. \r\nI want to thank you for making this small project of mine possible and I am sure my students appreciate your donations when they're enjoying it with their friends and classmates.","fullyFundedDate":1768506057698,"projectUrl":"project/games-for-classroom/9974510/","projectTitle":"Games for Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nguyen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10167412"},{"teacherId":6063329,"projectId":9960399,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and helping fund this project. Because of your generosity, I now have tools that allow me to model scientific thinking more clearly and provide stronger visual instruction for my students.\r\n\r\nThe reMarkable writing tablet has allowed me to handwrite and draw biology diagrams in real time while teaching, so students can see concepts develop step by step rather than only viewing finished slides. This has been especially helpful when explaining complex processes like cell division, energy transfer, and genetics, where seeing each step makes a meaningful difference in student understanding. I am also able to save and share these handwritten explanations so students can revisit lessons when they need additional support.\r\n\r\nThe wireless keyboard has improved how smoothly I can manage lessons, feedback, and digital resources during class. This allows me to spend more time focused on teaching and responding to students rather than navigating technology. Lessons flow more efficiently, which helps keep students engaged and on task.\r\n\r\nThe portable power bank ensures that instruction and recorded lessons are not interrupted by low battery issues during long class periods or lab days. This consistency helps maintain momentum in lessons and ensures that learning time is not lost to technical problems.\r\n\r\nTogether, these tools have strengthened the clarity, consistency, and accessibility of instruction for my students. Your support has helped create a classroom environment where learning is more visible, organized, and responsive to student needs. Thank you for investing in my students and in public education. I truly appreciate your generosity and the lasting impact it has on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1767720790365,"projectUrl":"project/digital-teaching-tools-to-make-biology-v/9960399/","projectTitle":"Digital Teaching Tools to Make Biology Visible and Accessible","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kumar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6063329_orig.jpg?crop=2919,2919,x0,y311&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663610957422","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kumars"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4752","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2749,"numTeachers":116,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":77,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"23.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":4752,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Evergreen Valley High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Evergreen Valley High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/east-side-union-high-school-district/evergreen-valley-high-school/4752"}
