I know this request was a little odd, but in theatre, seating can be incredibly important. We used to have to use wooden blocks to create the impression of benches, couches, and even beds. Now we can have real seating to help set the stage. My students and I are thrilled.\r\n\r\nThe stagecraft class was excited to build the materials and of course test their work after. Both the futon and the bench have had students request to use them in their individual scenes and I have already made plans to use them in our show this spring. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. Now my students look at the whiteboard to see what is on today's agenda and they watch as I explain aspects of the lesson, writing reminders for them to reference when they work independently. I have seen students stand up to check out the board to make sure they are doing the projects correctly, and I cannot express how amazing that feels as a teacher.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my TAs volunteered to build it because they had never seen my room with a whiteboard. The moment it was complete, students started asking if I could write the date, agenda, and an assortment of other things up. I realized then that my students had been used to specific information being available in other classes and had been missing it in my class. Together, my class and I wrote on the board the first day. I am currently in the process of making magnetic labels for the information the class has requested.\r\n\r\nThank you for making all this possible!","fullyFundedDate":1767246243455,"projectUrl":"project/whiteboard-on-wheels/9969270/","projectTitle":"Whiteboard on Wheels!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dohm","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2328838_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1538427328454","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/m-dohm"},{"teacherId":9335804,"projectId":8687518,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support!
