Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has transformed into a place where stories spark curiosity, imagination, and genuine excitement. Many of my students are discovering the joy of reading for the very first time, and it has been incredible to watch them choose books, talk about characters, and develop the confidence that comes from understanding and enjoying what they read.\r\n\r\nYour support means more than simply providing books—it gives students access to worlds they may never have explored otherwise. Having their own books to hold, reread, discuss, and take pride in builds an early foundation for learning that is truly life‑changing. I remember how important this was for me in fourth grade, when I fell in love with reading through the Judy Blume series. Knowing that you donated those same books for my students makes this project especially meaningful. I've already heard students laughing, connecting, and seeing themselves in the stories—just like I once did.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in the power of books and for helping create a classroom where reading is not just an assignment, but an adventure. Your kindness is shaping readers, learners, and dreamers every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1763474855928,"projectUrl":"project/keep-the-reading-going/9459997/","projectTitle":"Keep the reading going!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Artigas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10077167_orig.png?crop=1284,1284,x0,y291&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760679557587","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrartigasteaches"},{"teacherId":4945761,"projectId":9611858,"letterContent":"I gratefully thank you for the generosity of your donation. Originally, I did not choose snacks, but when some of the items I ordered were unavailable, I picked some snacks for the kids. The snacks were ready and waiting for us when we came back from our Winter Break. With most students feeling tired and having to get used to their routine after three weeks of vacation, the snacks were a great energy boost. Thank you for filling their tummies on some cold winter mornings. \r\n I would also like to express my appreciation for the items. The puzzles, the STEM manipulatives, and the model magic. Currently we are using the Crayola Model Magic to a relief map of California. When I presented the task their was a loud \"Yaaaaaay!\" that could be heard throughout the classroom and out the door. Having the students physically form the shape of California works another part of their brain and makes more connections than just staring at a map. The model magic clay is wonderful. \r\n Thank you for being a Donor's Choose participant and making our classroom come alive. The experience the children are getting with the different manipulatives is awesome.
