Students now have a cozy, inviting space for silent reading and partner work. During our \"Reading Café\" project, students rotated through stations and chose a comfortable spot on the rug or bean bags to dive into their books. The flexible seating has helped students stay more focused and engaged during independent reading and small-group lessons. The students were thrilled! \r\n\r\nMany gasped and cheered when they saw the new rug rolled out and the colorful bean bags waiting for them. Several immediately asked if they could read on them right away. Their excitement and smiles showed how much this small change made a big difference in how they feel about our classroom. \r\n\r\nWe are continuing to build strong reading habits and stamina during our daily silent reading block. Students are working on setting personal reading goals and reflecting on their progress each week. The flexible seating gives them a sense of choice and ownership in their learning space, which supports our ongoing focus on independence, responsibility, and a love of reading.
