Because of your kindness, my students were able to participate in an engaging, hands-on learning experience that promoted teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving in an exciting way. Your donation truly made a meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nUsing the Breakout Boxes, students worked together in teams to solve a series of puzzles in order to unlock multiple locks and ultimately \"escape\" the box. The challenges were complex and thoughtfully designed so that every student could contribute their own background knowledge and unique skills. I was thrilled to see students collaborating, communicating, and encouraging one another as they worked through each task.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, students learned the value of perseverance and resilience when a challenge became difficult. They stayed focused, supported one another, and celebrated their successes together. The energy and excitement in the room were incredible, and students had a great time while learning valuable academic and social skills. Thank you again for helping create such a memorable and impactful experience for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1760121073071,"projectUrl":"project/breakout-boxes/9713847/","projectTitle":"Breakout Boxes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Meza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2303767"},{"teacherId":3094720,"projectId":9584040,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support and for helping me purchase resources that cultivate creativity, imagination, problem-solving abilities, and social skills in my TK classroom. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in my students' daily learning experiences.\r\n\r\nWith your donation, I was able to purchase a play cash register that has inspired my students to create their own games and guidelines while playing grocery store. This imaginative play encourages creativity and supports cognitive development as students explore real-world scenarios in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nI also purchased dress-up clothes that have become a favorite during free play time. These materials give my students the opportunity to work together, practice taking turns, and engage in unstructured play. Dressing up allows children to dream, hope, and pretend to be someone or something extraordinary—like a ladybug—while building social and emotional skills.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, I added play food to our classroom play kitchen. With this new addition, students create imaginary scenarios, make decisions together, and lead their own learning through play. Because they are driving the experience, they are learning naturally alongside their TK classmates.\r\n\r\nMy students use these materials daily, and they have brought so much joy and excitement to our classroom. Thank you again for your generosity and for supporting playful learning opportunities that help my students grow and thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1757033682341,"projectUrl":"project/tk-just-wants-to-have-fun/9584040/","projectTitle":"TK Just Wants to Have Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Montes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3094720_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y160&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1610599040019","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3094720"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_30021","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":862,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":54,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":43,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"25.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":82.7,"schoolId":30021,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Thomas A Edison Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Thomas A Edison Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/glendale-unified-school-district/thomas-edison-elementary-school/30021"}
