Because of your donation, we received colorful new playdough, paint, splat mats to protect our messy areas, and a much-needed coat rack to help us keep our creative space organized.\r\n\r\nAs soon as the materials arrived, my students dove right in—literally! They were thrilled to explore the new playdough, rolling and shaping it into animals, letters, and their favorite foods. These playful activities help strengthen their fine motor skills and spark so much imaginative storytelling along the way.\r\n\r\nPainting has also become a favorite time of day. The bright new paint and easy setup have encouraged even my more hesitant artists to join in. We've explored color mixing, sponge painting, and even made collaborative murals. One student proudly said, \"We made a rainbow together!\"\r\n\r\nThe splat mats have made it possible for us to be adventurous and messy without worry—now students can focus on their projects instead of spills. And our new coat rack has been a game-changer for keeping our smocks neat and easy to grab, helping students take ownership of setting up and cleaning up their space.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom is more creative, organized, and joyful than ever. Your kindness has made a real difference, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to learn through play every day.","fullyFundedDate":1745847060298,"projectUrl":"project/coloring-futures-art-for-creative-pre-k/9101241/","projectTitle":"Coloring Futures: Art for Creative Pre-K Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Osborn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8980749_orig.jpg?crop=1249,1249,x1612,y26&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1680577735649","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8980749"},{"teacherId":8980749,"projectId":9101279,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom! Because of your kindness, our Pre-K class received hands-on Fairy Tale STEM kits from Lakeshore that bring classic stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Three Billy Goats Gruff to life in the most exciting and interactive ways.\r\n\r\nWhen the kits first arrived, my students couldn't believe their eyes. \"Are we really going to build Baby Bear a chair?\" one asked, eyes wide with wonder. They were instantly hooked and couldn't wait to get started.\r\n\r\nWe began by reading different versions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, comparing the characters and settings. Then, the real fun began—students became little engineers, working together to design and build new chairs for Baby Bear that wouldn't break. They tested materials, problem-solved together, and proudly shared their creations with the class. One group even added paper towel \"seat belts\" so Goldilocks wouldn't fall off again!\r\n\r\nNext up is The Three Billy Goats Gruff. With the STEM kit challenge, students will plan and build bridges to help the goats cross the river—without getting caught by the troll! They'll explore ideas like balance, weight, and structure through playful, hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nThese moments are truly magical. Your donation has transformed our fairy tale unit into something unforgettable—blending literacy, creativity, and early engineering skills in a way that is developmentally perfect for Pre-K learners. You've helped spark curiosity, confidence, and joy in my students, and for that I am so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1746785986393,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-minds-through-hands-on-thematic/9101279/","projectTitle":"Engaging Minds Through Hands-on Thematic Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Osborn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8980749_orig.jpg?crop=1249,1249,x1612,y26&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1680577735649","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8980749"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40205","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":475,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":20,"percentAsian":49,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"17.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.9,"schoolId":40205,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about College Park Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"College Park Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/irvine-unified-school-district/college-park-elementary-school/40205"}
