Our school's facilities and technology are lacking, and support from individuals like you help enhance their educational experience. Math can be an intimidating subject for some students. This can pose a challenge for educators as well. Any and all resources that we can use to persuade students to engage with the math content is invaluable. \r\n\r\nThat is why your donation of whiteboards is so appreciated. I am not entirely certain why, but whiteboards seem to be a \"safer\" medium to practice math with than pen and paper. When I assign students digital learning tasks, they general prefer to use whiteboards over paper. Some students do not have their own supplies (notebooks, pencils, etc.), so I make a point to provide as many supplies to students as possible in the classroom for them to use (the goal being to make the class as equitable as possible). Our old whiteboards were very run-down. The students were excited when I brought out the new ones! \r\n\r\nAdditionally, the iPad allows myself and my co-teacher to project onto the television from anywhere in the room. This is far more readable that the school's built-in projector. We can also easily make annotations and utilize color-coding with the iPad, a huge strategy when it comes to learning mathematics and helping students make connections between values. When we are done with a lesson we are able to upload annotated notes directly to Google Classroom. I have also used it to record lessons while I narrate and annotate worksheets. Our school has many absences, so this makes the content more accessible for students who miss class. \r\n\r\nThank you for donating to my classroom and investing in the students. We are all so very grateful for you!
