We had to wait for the machine to come and then for me to learn how to use it properly. Each student was able to create their very own water bottle with their very own design! I let them know that they could also add to the design throughout the year by adding mor pictures. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for all your help in allowing my students to experience designing their own water bottle. After they take them home to wash, they will be using them in the classroom so that they all stay hydrated!\r\n\r\nThey also really enjoyed making towers with the straw connectors kits. They found that it was not that easy to make a tall tower without it falling down. We appreciate your kindness. They are relatable and connect with kids on a deeper level. In our classroom, I try to provide Kick Back and Read time (K.B.A.R.) where they get pockets of time to enjoy the books of their choice. With the cold, windy, and rainy weather my student were finally able to break open these mats and have their first yoga lesson. We recently talked about the importance of breathing. They kids are excited to try a new physical skill that doesn't involve speed, but instead focuses a lot on mindfulness. \r\n\r\nThe students got to break open the package and loved knowing they were the very first to use these materials. It was so special. \r\n\r\nAs we continue in this new year, once a week we will be adding each week a new stretch to our sequence. We started with just about four stretches and the kids are already realizing how difficult it is to move through a full sequence.
