Your kindness and generosity is deeply appreciated.\r\n\r\nAs items arrived, they were immediately put to use. The chairs provided alternatives to the typical classroom chair. Most of my students prefer flexibility in their seating choices. Having a choice in seating increased participation in large group instruction. The cube chairs are the favorite of most students! \r\n\r\nStudents were excited when the fidgets began to arrive. Each student was curious about the fidgets and began exploring each type. The opportunity to use one of these items during large group instruction has helped students regulate and maintain attention for increasing periods of time. \r\n\r\nThe rolling white board has been a huge hit! Students enjoy engaging in learning activities at the white board. It has increased independence in learning activities and has also helped facilitate social interactions between students. \r\n\r\nYour donations have helped me create an environment where students can participate, and THRIVE in group instruction!","fullyFundedDate":1755174620029,"projectUrl":"project/we-thrive-with-group-instruction/9422656/","projectTitle":"We Thrive With Group Instruction!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Golding","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10059427_orig.jpg?crop=674,674,x139,y31&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752616668793","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10059427"},{"teacherId":9886644,"projectId":9704103,"letterContent":"Our STEAM lab has come alive thanks to your generosity! Students have been exploring the Cross-section Brain model alongside the book My Fantastic Elastic Brain to learn how their brains grow when they tackle challenges. One memorable moment was during our Lego bridge challenge: teams worked together to design and test bridges, cheering when their structures held more weight than expected. In another lesson, students used duct tape and skewer sticks to model wave properties, watching their creations ripple like real energy waves. With clips, cups, elastic bands, and string, they engineered suspended weight systems to explore kinetic energy, turning everyday materials into powerful learning tools. \r\n \r\nThe excitement was immediate! When the brain model was unveiled, students crowded around, pointing out the different parts and connecting them to what they had read in the book. The building blocks sparked instant creativity—students dove into building without hesitation, eager to test their ideas. Even simple supplies like tape and skewers drew gasps of curiosity, because they realized they could transform them into scientific experiments. Their joy and wonder reminded us that hands-on learning truly makes science feel magical. \r\n \r\nNext, our students will be diving into earth science with the National Geographic Rock, Mineral, and Crystal Activity Kit and Rocks & Minerals Flash Cards. They'll be hands-on geologists—sorting, classifying, and comparing specimens while building vocabulary and scientific observation skills. At the same time, we'll be launching into physics with a balloon rocket challenge, where students design and test rockets to explore force, motion, and energy transfer. These new projects will connect directly to our earlier engineering and growth mindset lessons, encouraging students to see how curiosity and persistence fuel discoveries across science. We're excited to share the joy of learning made possible by your support.","fullyFundedDate":1757951433973,"projectUrl":"project/a-stem-lab-to-spark-innovation-and-disco/9704103/","projectTitle":"A STEM Lab to Spark Innovation and Discovery","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Schulman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9886644_orig.jpg?crop=959,959,x0,y35&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1735962403932","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-schulmans-class"},{"teacherId":9655386,"projectId":9032838,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations to get my students the resources needed to succeed in my classroom. When the body sock and spinning chair first arrived, the students were immediately curious and excited. One student who often struggles to focus tried the spinning chair and then joined the group with a big smile, ready to participate. The body sock gives students deep pressure input, helping them feel calm, grounded, and supported throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThese tools have quickly become a part of our daily routines. Students are learning to recognize when they need a sensory break and use the tools independently, which helps them regulate their emotions and stay engaged in lessons. The spinning chair also supports balance and attention, making transitions smoother and group activities more successful. Your support has made a tremendous difference in both the functionality and the atmosphere of our learning space.\r\n\r\nThe new tables have transformed our room in ways that go far beyond aesthetics. Our old tables were falling apart—scratched, unstable, and worn out. Now, we have sturdy, reliable tables that foster collaboration, flexibility, and a sense of pride in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe trapezoid tables are great for offering options for individual work or group learning when connected to form a table for six. The round table allows for more flexibility in the number of students that can group together, and the flower table has become a classroom favorite—students are drawn to it every day!\r\n\r\nPerhaps the most meaningful change is the shift in how our students feel about their environment. They are excited to use these new tables and are taking ownership in keeping them clean and cared for. It's heartwarming to see how this change has encouraged them to take more pride in their classroom and learning.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible. The students are absolutely thrilled with the new options and are enjoying the freedom to choose the seating that helps them focus and feel most comfortable. The wobble stools and swivel chairs, in particular, have been a huge hit—they make it easy for students to turn and engage with me and the screen during lessons, creating a smoother and more interactive learning experience.\r\n\r\nYour contribution is making a daily impact on our classroom environment, helping students feel more empowered, focused, and excited to learn. They especially love the chair and floor cushions—perfect for reading, group work, or simply taking a moment to reset. The curtain you provided has helped minimize distractions, allowing students to focus more fully on their learning.\r\n\r\nAnother big hit has been the fluorescent light covers. The calming blue sky and cloud design, paired with encouraging messages on some, has completely transformed the classroom's atmosphere. The harsh lighting is no longer overwhelming, and students often comment on how much more peaceful and inviting the room feels.\r\n\r\nYour thoughtful contributions go beyond physical comfort—they support emotional regulation, focus, and a sense of belonging.
