As a teacher, I see every day how much students benefit from having a structured and well-organized learning environment. Many of my students struggle to stay focused or keep track of materials, and having the right organizational tools can make a meaningful difference in their engagement and confidence.\r\n\r\nWith your support, I will be able to provide my students with resources that help create a more efficient, calm, and student-centered classroom. These tools will not only improve daily routines but also allow students to take more ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nAny contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to giving my students the learning environment they deserve. Students immediately grasped how to use and care for the boxes. They gently slide the boxes back into the storage box and help each other if one box gets misaligned. They are proud to get their boxes and choose a partner to work with. It's made working on sight words so much easier. It also helps with social skills - they have two chances a day to get out their sight word boxes and read with a partner, and they will happily do rock paper scissors to see whose box they use. Some students have an extra set of kindergarten words, or second grade words, and assigned partners who can help them or challenge them. \r\n\r\nWe use the red colored pencils twice a week for checking our own work after word building. Students can give themselves a smiley face if they're correct or fix it if they missed a spelling pattern.\r\n\r\nThe joy at opening up the box of colored pencils was incomparable, and probably contagious from my excitement. They're just so pretty! Each team shares a few sets of colored pencils. I'm never going back to markers in notebooks. No more bleeding through the page and rendering the back page unusable. \r\n\r\nThe foam dice replaced a well-used set. We use them for fact fluency and subitizing (recognizing quantities quickly). We also use them in other content areas for making choices (roll the dice, if we get a four, then we make a sentence with the fourth word, etc). \r\nAnd, at the end of the day, I get to sharpen a handful of colored pencils and regular pencils so that we are all fresh and ready for writing the next day. Thank you so much for supporting my class with these projects.","fullyFundedDate":1757423256906,"projectUrl":"project/lets-organize-our-math-supplies-and-mor/9564174/","projectTitle":"Let's Organize Our Math Supplies and More!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bailon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3318596"},{"teacherId":10114819,"projectId":9544156,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! The new privacy screeners, fidget tools, STEM counters, and magnetic flying folders have already made a noticeable impact on our daily learning environment.\r\n\r\nWe use the privacy screeners during independent work and assessments to help students focus and feel comfortable in their own space. One of my favorite moments was seeing a student who usually gets easily distracted sit down, put up the screener, and say, \"Now I can concentrate!\" It made such a difference for them.\r\n\r\nThe fidget tools have been incredibly helpful for emotional regulation. Students use them during lessons, calm-down time, and transitions to stay focused and grounded. When they first saw the new tools, their excitement filled the room—everyone wanted to explore them and learn how to use them responsibly.\r\n\r\nOur STEM counters have become part of our daily math centers. Students use them for counting, sorting, building patterns, and working through hands-on problem-solving activities. During a recent center rotation, students challenged each other to create and extend complex patterns using the counters—something they were so proud of.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic flying folders have helped us stay organized in a fun and efficient way. Students now have a designated magnetic spot to store their work folders, which has reduced classroom clutter and made transitions smoother. The kids loved seeing them on the board for the first time and were amazed that their folders could \"stick\" to the wall!\r\n\r\nNext steps for our class include expanding our hands-on math activities with the STEM counters, incorporating fidget tools into our self-regulation routines, and continuing to use the privacy screeners to support focused work time. The magnetic flying folders will remain a key part of helping students stay organized and independent.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity.
