I am amazed at how engrossed in the books they are getting and how creative they are with the different types of activities I have assigned them. \r\nThey are becoming familiar with the different book genres, subjects and writing styles. Many have started to collaborate with each other about how to inspire others into reading their books. \r\nWhen making real life connections to things done in class; students are more apt to retain the information they have learned. This allows them to grow and think about trying new things and increases their desire to learn and share that knowledge. \r\n\r\nYou helped them become engaged with reading and learning about another culture helping to expand their interest and knowledge. We used the books to spark discussions about recycling, reducing waste, and living more sustainably. One of the key projects was creating posters to illustrate simple actions they could take to minimize their environmental impact, such as using reusable items and cutting down on waste. This allowed the students to connect the concepts from the books to real-life actions they could implement in their own lives.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the books, they were excited and eager to learn more. It was inspiring to see how quickly they began to think critically about their habits and how small changes could make a big difference for the planet. Moving forward, my students will continue exploring ways to reduce waste, including starting a recycling program in our classroom. I'm excited to see the lasting impact this will have on their awareness and actions.","fullyFundedDate":1717187901812,"projectUrl":"project/reduce-and-reuse-for-the-future/8330655/","projectTitle":"Reduce and Reuse for the Future!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8548126_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705905389353","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8548126"},{"teacherId":8548126,"projectId":6588446,"letterContent":"The donations from this project were incredibly valuable and had a positive impact on my students' learning throughout the year. We were able to use the materials for a full year, and they really enhanced the classroom environment, supporting a range of activities and fostering greater engagement. Unfortunately, when we moved classrooms after the school year ended, the donated materials were lost during the transition. I wasn't able to capture pictures of the resources in use during that time, which was disappointing, but I can confidently say that the students made great use of them.\r\n\r\nTo ensure that my students still had the resources they needed, I personally purchased replacements using my own funds. Although the original donations were lost in the move, the new materials are already helping create a dynamic, interactive learning space, and I'm excited to continue building on the positive impact they've had on my students' learning.","fullyFundedDate":1664566475518,"projectUrl":"project/making-room-for-academic-resources-in-ou/6588446/","projectTitle":"Making Room for Academic Resources in Our Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8548126_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705905389353","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8548126"},{"teacherId":8548126,"projectId":6822401,"letterContent":"The new resources have been an exciting addition to our classroom, and they've already started making a noticeable difference in how my students approach their learning. They've been using the materials in a variety of ways, from independent activities to collaborative projects, sparking creativity and curiosity. It's clear that the resources are helping them engage more deeply with the subject matter, and it's been inspiring to watch them explore new ideas and methods. The overall atmosphere in the classroom has become even more dynamic and student-centered.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their reactions were overwhelmingly positive. There was a palpable sense of excitement and eagerness to dive in. They were curious to see how the new tools could enhance their learning experiences, and it's been great to see that enthusiasm carry over into their day-to-day work. As we move forward, the next steps for my students will involve continuing to build on the skills they've developed with the new resources. I'm looking forward to watching them further apply their knowledge in increasingly complex ways as they work through their projects, fostering both critical thinking and collaboration along the way.","fullyFundedDate":1663728100594,"projectUrl":"project/notebooks-pencils-and-ppe-for-the-clas/6822401/","projectTitle":"Notebooks, Pencils, and PPE for the Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8548126_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705905389353","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8548126"},{"teacherId":6492131,"projectId":9034952,"letterContent":"My students were thrilled to get the delivery of the class set of How to Train your Dragon.\r\nThey wanted to jump right in.
