In kindergarten, our carpet is one of the most important spaces in the room because it is where we gather for morning meeting, read-alouds, phonics lessons, and class discussions. Since receiving the new rug, my students have been so excited to sit together during circle time. The colorful flower design has helped create a warm and welcoming space where students feel comfortable learning and sharing.\r\nThe first time my students saw the rug, they were immediately drawn to it. Many of them pointed out the flowers and asked if they could each choose a \"flower spot\" to sit on. It has helped them stay organized during carpet time and has made transitions smoother because every student now has a clear place to sit. During read-alouds and phonics activities, I've noticed that students are more focused and engaged while sitting together on the rug.\r\nThis new classroom space will continue to support many learning moments throughout the year. We will use it for storytelling, practicing letter sounds, counting activities, and collaborative discussions where students share their ideas with one another.
