In my classroom, I want students to have the flexibility to choose how they learn and for me, being able to move around is one of the ways they can choose to learn. I cannot stay in one place all day so why require my students to.\r\n\r\nWith the new seating, the students have had more options when choosing how they want to learn each day. The cushions come in handy when a student wants to stay at their desk but would like something soft to sit on or have behind their back. The large floor seats are incredible. Students use them to sit at their low table or even around the room during lessons, independent time or silent reading. They love getting to choose. \r\n\r\nI have seen a huge increase in focus and attention ruin as well as with work production. Students love the ability to be able to decide what works best for them. We cannot tell you how grateful we are and I know that each year students will continue to enjoy their learning thanks to my project being fully funded.
