We have had an amazing year of building an exuberant program and crafting student artworks in diverse materials and styles. Thanks to you, we've been able to continue our block printing and metal tooling projects, which we began with limited supplies last year, while adding several more exiting projects for various grade levels!\r\n\r\nUsing the variety of metal foils, printmaking inks, and foam plates that you provided, students of 4th and 5th grade upgraded their printmaking and metal tooling skills. As you'll see in our uploaded photos, several of these artworks were selected to represent our school at the district art show starting tomorrow (4/12).\r\n\r\nUsing the fabric painting materials and oil pastels that you generously donated, students of 1st grade made lovely mixed-media artworks about animals of their choice. These artworks are currently on display to celebrate Arab American Heritage month, as we drew inspiration from artists of the Arab World who make use of textiles in their work.\r\n\r\nAnd, with the many screen printing supplies and canvas painting materials that you purchased, 5th grade was able to add two new celebratory year-end art traditions that we plan to continue for years to come! Not only was each student able to create and display an acrylic painting on canvas for our upcoming campus Arts Expo (4/30) -- they were also able to collaborate on t-shirt graphics to commemorate their time at Montview before they graduate this May. This t-shirt project is especially exciting. Here, not only are the students learning new skills but I am too. I am very new to screen printing but have amazing support from fellow art educators who are helping me establish a screen printing program at my school. But this would never have been possible without your contribution.\r\n\r\nWe cannot put into words how invaluable these opportunities have been for our amazing young artists. On behalf of the entire Montview community, thank you. And please reach out to you me if you'd like more information about our upcoming art exhibition events, where you can meet these amazing artworks and the artists who created them in person (dcondry@aurorak12.org).","fullyFundedDate":1762871014567,"projectUrl":"project/next-level-art-supplies-materiales-de/9527159/","projectTitle":"Next Level Art Supplies / Materiales de Arte Otro Nivel","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. See","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10077336_orig.jpg?crop=1149,1149,x146,y77&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753409572835","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10077336"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_41304","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":380,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":92,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":76,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":32.7,"schoolId":41304,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Montview Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Montview Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/aurora-public-school-district/montview-elementary-school/41304"}
