Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in our learning environment. Because of your support, my students now have access to powerful tools that will help them explore, create, and grow.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in our classroom has been incredible, especially in reading. Students are using the iPads to listen to audiobooks, practice fluency, build vocabulary, and engage with interactive texts that match their individual reading levels. These resources are helping them become more confident, motivated readers, and the progress we've already seen has been inspiring.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly enriched our classroom, and we are deeply grateful for your support. They have been excited to practice their disc-throwing skills even when the weather is cold because we can use them safely inside. The pool noodles are a great implement that allows students to practice striking skills in a safe, successful way.\r\n\r\nI'm excited to continue using these resources throughout the school year, as they can be adapted to so many activities and games. My students have been loving using the two pickleball/badminton nets as I've introduced them to these two lifelong sports. Just today, I introduced my 8th graders to badminton, and one group in particular especially enjoyed themselves. They were able to maintain a volley and get some exciting rallies going in their game. \r\n\r\nWhen my younger students first saw the new nets, they made audible gasps, \"oohs,\" and \"aahs.\" Seeing brand new equipment with which they'd never had experience in PE before was exhilarating to them. Each of my 16 classes have benefited from this equipment in ways that are unique to their age and needs.\r\n\r\nIntroducing ALL my students to racket sports was only made possible because of the two nets purchased by you all! From my kindergarteners learning how to strike a ball over the net, to my 8th graders playing independent pickleball games, my whole school has had the opportunity to try out pickleball in one way or another. I am hopeful that many will look for opportunities to play outside of school. Though pickleball (and now badminton) has been the using them as \"volleyball\" nets for my youngest students who are using beachballs to practice these early skills. This equipment has so much potential, and I thank you sincerely on behalf of my students and school.","fullyFundedDate":1731238429427,"projectUrl":"project/pickleball-and-badminton-and-volleyball/8912829/","projectTitle":"Pickleball and Badminton and Volleyball, Oh My!","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Schilperoort","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9680066"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_31802","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":295,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":51,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":48,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":33,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"10.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":31802,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Colorado Springs Charter Academy on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Colorado Springs Charter Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/colorado-charter-school-institute/colorado-springs-charter-acad/31802"}
