Our data analysis demonstrates significant growth across all student groups, particularly highlighting the positive impact of our reading resources on student engagement and skill development.\r\n\r\nThe data from our second-grade reading assessments shows remarkable progress from August 2017 to May 2018. Students of Color demonstrated substantial growth, with ability index scores increasing from approximately 760 to 810 by the end of the academic year. Similarly, our White students showed consistent improvement, advancing from approximately 780 to 870 during the same period. This upward trajectory across all demographic groups validates the effectiveness of our reading materials and instructional approach.\r\n\r\nOur reading program's success can be attributed to several key factors. The materials that were acquired through Donor Choose support student to be engaged providing multiple entry points for learners at different levels. The systematic approach to skill building has allowed students to progress from Tier 3 (intervention level) toward Tier 2 and Tier 1 performance levels. This is particularly evident in the steady growth patterns observed throughout the year.\r\n\r\nWhile we celebrate these achievements, we also acknowledge the ongoing opportunity to further reduce performance gaps between student groups. Our reading materials continue to evolve to ensure cultural relevance and maximum engagement for all learners. The consistent growth patterns demonstrated in our data confirm that our reading resources are providing meaningful opportunities for all students to develop and strengthen their reading skills.\r\n\r\nThe positive trends in our assessment data reinforce that reading materials that were donated to our classroom and instructional strategies supported our goal of fostering strong, confident readers across all student populations. We remain committed to maintaining and enhancing these effective practices to ensure continued growth for all students.","fullyFundedDate":1512599853184,"projectUrl":"project/our-spanish-treasure/2961739/","projectTitle":"Our Spanish Treasure","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5021235_orig.jpg?crop=999,1000,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752703979489","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5021235"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_41581","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":447,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":28,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.8,"schoolId":41581,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Stedman Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Stedman Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/denver-public-school-district-1/stedman-elementary-school/41581"}
