Students have been able to use the resources to highlight important information during instruction as well as complete assignments using the necessary resources, such as glue sticks, highlighters, and poster paper.\r\nStudents have also been more willing to get up and share their knowledge in front of the whole class because of the incentives that were bought with your donations. Students earn class money that they can turn in on Fridays for rewards from the treasure chest, this has been a huge motivator for the kids to try and share their knowledge with the rest of the class and it also has encouraged the kiddos to take risks in math they normally wouldn't take.\r\nThe other items that were purchased have helped to create a classroom where we are able to help the kiddos stay healthy by being able to clean items when necessary and keep the germs away. \r\nWithout all of your support it would have been difficult to achieve the different things that we have done so far this school year and we are all greatful for the support you have given us this year.","fullyFundedDate":1758219898236,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-creative-and-healthy-learning/9604258/","projectTitle":"Empowering Creative and Healthy Learning In Math!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Parra","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9232300"},{"teacherId":9230370,"projectId":9597103,"letterContent":"The folders our organization provided have made a noticeable difference in our classroom. They've helped streamline the process of distributing materials, saved instructional time, and taught students the importance of staying organized. Because every student now has a designated place for their work, we've seen a significant decrease in misplaced assignments and an increase in students taking responsibility for their materials.\r\n\r\nA specific moment that stood out was during our most recent reading and writing unit. Students were able to quickly pull out all of their graphic organizers, vocabulary lists, and drafts from their folders without needing reminders or extra wait time. One student even commented, \"I actually know where everything is now!\" — something I rarely hear from ninth graders.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were genuinely excited. Several of them immediately started personalizing their folders with their names and small drawings. Many said it made them feel \"more official\" and \"organized for real this time.\"\r\n\r\nAs for next steps, we're currently working on a multi-day project involving reading comprehension and writing. Students will be collecting and revising their work over time, and these folders will continue to serve as their central hub for drafts, notes, and reflections. Having all of their materials in one place is helping them see their own progress from start to finish — something that's especially valuable in a language-learning classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1756079940772,"projectUrl":"project/project-description-empowering-students/9597103/","projectTitle":"Project Description: Empowering Students Through Organization","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Prow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9230370_orig.png?crop=1225,1225,x105,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755204023400","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9230370"},{"teacherId":9243723,"projectId":8567839,"letterContent":"I want to sincerely thank you for helping bring an Epson printer into my classroom and student programs. While many people think of printers as simple tools for making copies, in our school setting it has become a dynamic piece of technology that is transforming the way my students learn and share their voices. In Japanese class, students are able to print vibrant practice materials, cultural projects, and even design posters that highlight their progress in the language. This hands-on connection to their work makes learning tangible and gives them a sense of ownership that digital screens alone cannot provide.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the ability to create materials that look professional and meaningful. Members of the Black Student Alliance have used the printer to design and print flyers that celebrate cultural heritage months and invite their peers to important discussions. Similarly, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has found joy in making posters and devotion sheets that spread encouragement across the school community. Students are proud to see their creativity displayed in hallways and classrooms, knowing they have the power to shape the culture of our school.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who don't always shine in traditional academic ways have especially warmed to this new technology. One quiet student in Japanese class lit up when she printed her carefully designed hiragana chart in full color—it became something she wanted to show others. In BSA, students who are passionate about social justice but less comfortable speaking up have found their voices through the posters they design and print. This printer has given them not only a tool, but a platform to share their identity, passions, and leadership with others.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible. Your support has provided much more than ink and paper—it has empowered students to learn, lead, and inspire.","fullyFundedDate":1723158338891,"projectUrl":"project/tjhs-japanese-language-lab/8567839/","projectTitle":"TJHS Japanese Language Lab","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9243723"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_41587","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1390,"numTeachers":60,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":17,"percentWhite":32,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"23.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":48.5,"schoolId":41587,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Thomas Jefferson High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Thomas Jefferson High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/denver-public-school-district-1/thomas-jefferson-high-school/41587"}
