I've been teaching with an old globe that is stationary and not really meant to be handled. The globes I was able to purchase because of this grant are amazing!! The students LOVE holding the \"Earth\" in their hands and finding the place we're studying. They particularly love to find \"Home\" and then \"travel\" to Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Europe...the adventures are endless. \r\n\r\nThe chairs and wiggle bands have allowed my young learners to move, wiggle, sit on the ground, and make choices about their physical needs. My classroom is a place where students can choose a work spot that is best for their learning.
