The tools that were purchased have already made a tremendous difference for my students. They have truly enjoyed using the multi-sensory materials to deepen their understanding of the math concepts we are exploring, and I can already see them building stronger foundations in their mathematical thinking. These tools will continue to be used throughout the year to help students not only learn math, but see it in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nBy giving students the chance to use hands-on, interactive materials, you are helping them develop skills that extend well beyond the classroom. These resources encourage critical thinking, persistence, and problem-solving—abilities that are essential for future success in higher-level math courses and in real-world applications like budgeting, data analysis, and logical reasoning. When students have the opportunity to explore math with multiple senses, they gain confidence and become more willing to take risks in their learning. This confidence will serve them for years to come, empowering them to approach challenges with curiosity and resilience.","fullyFundedDate":1746501759034,"projectUrl":"project/multi-sensory-tools-for-learning-math/9292590/","projectTitle":"Multi-sensory Tools For Learning Math","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stahl","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5836533"},{"teacherId":7129009,"projectId":9320094,"letterContent":"I want to share my deepest thanks and heartfelt appreciation for your generous donation of hands-on math manipulatives to our classroom. Your gift has already begun to transform the way our students experience math, and the impact is truly inspiring.\r\n\r\nMany of our students came to us with gaps in their foundational math skills, which made it difficult for them to fully grasp new concepts or feel confident in their abilities. Since introducing the manipulatives, I have witnessed a powerful shift in their engagement and understanding. These tools allow students to physically explore math ideas—whether it's counting, grouping, fractions, or geometry—in a way that makes abstract concepts concrete and accessible. This hands-on learning has helped fill critical skill holes that were holding some students back, and it has sparked a newfound excitement and curiosity in others.\r\n\r\nWhat touches me most is seeing how these manipulatives empower students to take ownership of their learning. Instead of feeling frustrated or overwhelmed, they are now able to experiment, make mistakes, and discover solutions on their own or with peers. This growth in confidence is visible every day in their faces and in their work. Students who were once hesitant or unsure are now mastering new skills with pride and enthusiasm.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only provided important tools but has also sent a powerful message to our students—that their education matters and that people believe in their potential. This encouragement means the world to them and to me as their teacher.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our classroom community in such a meaningful way. Your gift is helping to build strong math foundations, nurture a love for learning, and open doors to future success for every student. I am profoundly grateful for your kindness and belief in our students' bright futures.","fullyFundedDate":1746579311706,"projectUrl":"project/our-math-tools-project/9320094/","projectTitle":"Our Math Tools Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Peterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7129009_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y373&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693342109751","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7129009"},{"teacherId":2877734,"projectId":8570619,"letterContent":"The books I was able to purchase with this grant has been incredibly beneficial for my students, and for our entire grade level. The books have allowed students to learn how we can benefit our environment and ultimately save our future by composting. The books were given to each grade level at my school. Teachers read this book aloud to their class. This means that 500 kids learned about composting. Students went on to use the grabbers to make composting work in our school. Our county diverts 110,000 pounds of food waste from going to the landfill by composting. At our school some of our compost goes to our school's greenhouse. The grabbers were useful to pick trash out of the compost bin and ensure that the compost we are using for our plants is helpful and not contaminated.
