I was able to light up the room enough so that we can turn the big lights off at different times throughout our day without sitting in darkness. The lighting provides a sense of calm and at times makes it feel like we are not in a classroom setting.\r\n\r\nMy students will occasionally request for me to turn off the big lights and now I can confidently provide them with enough lighting so that we are not struggling to see.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for allowing me to bring this calm into my classroom. I think it benefits all students and has allowed me to create a classroom environment that I think many students, for years to come, will appreciate and thrive in.\r\n\r\nI will forever be grateful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1761837226440,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-lighting/9849733/","projectTitle":"Classroom Lighting","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Porter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9262811"},{"teacherId":9262811,"projectId":9807915,"letterContent":"Revealing the new Cozy Corner to my students has been so exciting. As some of the tools started to arrive, I was able to teach how they can use each tool to calm their bodies throughout the school day. The rain sticks have definitely been a favorite go to item in the corner. The breathing balls have also been extremely helpful in teaching them how to take deep breaths throughout the day. I use one of them as a whole group practice and often see students using them independently while in the corner.\r\nThe sensory tanks are the star of the corner and provide my students an escape within the walls of their classroom. I have presented the corner as a place to go for a few minutes as a break. Some of my students need it for regulation but most just need to take a couple minutes and it has been very beneficial. I have noticed that students come back calmer and more focused and ready to continue their learning. \r\nThank you for the opportunity to add this to my classroom. I appreciate your donation and will forever be grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1760976088105,"projectUrl":"project/the-ultimate-cozy-corner/9807915/","projectTitle":"The Ultimate Cozy Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Porter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9262811"},{"teacherId":2862075,"projectId":8567443,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the materials. My students were able to gain a better understanding of the movement of Earth and the moon thanks to the lego model and allowing them to explore in a hands on application.
