Even more importantly, you've empowered students to take the lead in organizing, maintaining, and promoting this resource with empathy and purpose.\r\n\r\nThis project is teaching them so much more than logistics. They asked every day if the new stuffed anatomy parts had arrived yet. They were eager to pass them around and take out the different parts and read the descriptions. We referenced them and used them in order to remind students of content that is not necessarily easily accessed by just using textbooks or online platforms. These also impacted students by showing them the neurotransmitters involved in mental health, their brains, and the endocrine system which controls the hormones affecting behavior as well!\r\n\r\nThe other mental health related items have been a delight as I use them as incentives for daily tasks. The small gifts, like fidget spinners or sensory items, can really make a student's day. They even offer reminders that teachers and other adults are there to support them outside of just normal classroom content. \r\n\r\nThese are not things that I am able to afford by myself.
