We use them every day to make sure no child is sitting back, not knowing how to do the math afraid to ask for help. I pose a few questions everyday that they respond to on their boards during the lesson. Then they show me their responses. I had one student get three wrong in a row and I was able to quietly help them during the independent work time without any embarrassment or public shame. It has been so easy to know who and how to help students. It's helped me pair students together to create healthy peer tutoring partners. When I pulled out the new boards the kids were thrilled and so excited not to have to take turns using them. Now I can formatively assess the entire class simultaneously. It's truly a game changer.
