Their social skills were impacted, as were everyone's during that time. I was looking for a way to help teens reconnect with their peers, without screens. I noticed that students who visited the library were almost always looking for something to entertain themselves, if they didn't have homework. I thought that games and puzzles would be a great addition to the space, as well as craft supplies.\r\n\r\nSince bringing in the craft supplies and games to the library students have made purposeful decisions to come in and use the supplies and games to interact with their peers. I have seen fewer students on their computers and phones since the games and crafts have been available. Teachers have also brought entire classes down to partake in the games and craft supplies. Kids are always disappointed when they have to go to class or go home. They are truly enjoying the availability of the items that the donation helped purchase.","fullyFundedDate":1723155276886,"projectUrl":"project/tabletop-games-make-the-leaders-of-tomor/8564953/","projectTitle":"Tabletop games make the leaders of tomorrow!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Trivitt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9629837"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43322","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":872,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":21,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":63.6,"schoolId":43322,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Steamboat Springs High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Steamboat Springs High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/steamboat-springs-sd-re-2/steamboat-springs-high-school/43322"}
