You have also provided books to add to our library that help students feel included, validated, and seen. These tools are not inexpensive and are not standard to be provided to social workers like me. \r\n\r\nIn order to best serve our students and give them a space where they feel safe to express themselves, talk about their feelings, and work towards improving their own mental health, we as social workers need to be able to create that space with the tools you have provided me through Donor Choose. I have witnessed many of my students utilizing the weighted blanket, the fidget toys, and exploring the books that represent a \r\nlot about their own identity. \r\nI am very grateful to all of you for providing these much needed resources and creating a space where students can continue to be themselves and feel more confident in our ever changing world.
