Your support has truly helped our stage crew communicate loud and clear and the impact has been immediate and meaningful.\r\nWhile many donors are familiar with communication technology at home, using this equipment in a school setting gives students a completely different kind of learning experience. Our stage crew now uses headsets and communication tools to coordinate cues, timing, lighting, sound, and scene changes in real time. This hands-on experience teaches students problem-solving, responsibility, teamwork, and clear communication under pressure; skills that extend far beyond the stage.\r\nWhat excites students most is feeling trusted with real-world technology. They are using the same tools found in professional theaters, which makes their work feel authentic and important. Students take pride in knowing that their role behind the scenes directly affects the success of a performance. The ability to communicate instantly and clearly has boosted their confidence and made rehearsals and performances smoother and more efficient.\r\nSeveral students who don't always seek the spotlight have especially thrived with this technology. Students who are quieter, more technical, or prefer working behind the scenes have found a space where they shine. For some, this has been the first time they've felt essential to a team effort. The technology has given them a voice, sometimes literally, and a sense of belonging.\r\nThank you for believing in our students and recognizing that learning doesn't always happen center stage. Because of you, our stage crew is learning to collaborate, lead, and communicate with confidence. Your generosity has made a lasting difference, and we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758815835682,"projectUrl":"project/loud-and-clear-helping-our-stage-crew-c/9532048/","projectTitle":"Loud and Clear: Helping Our Stage Crew Communicate","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McGovern","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1508453"},{"teacherId":5186408,"projectId":9970884,"letterContent":"We have started our unit on Chinese New Year! As soon as the boxes started arriving, the kids were excited to set up their new small group space. Students built the bookcases and tables, designed the layout, and organized the materials. They take pride in keeping their space clean and well stocked.\r\n\r\nOur collaborative space is used daily. Students work in math groups to solve multi-digit addition and subtraction equations, practice multiplication and division facts, and talk about different math strategies. In literacy, students sort long and short vowels, practice spelling words, and talk about their independent reading. Developing language and conversation skills is embedded into daily instruction, but having a special place to do it makes all the difference. \r\n\r\nStudents also use this space for social language development. During free time, indoor recess and dismissal time, students use their collaborative space. They play games, tell jokes, make art and have fun conversations.
