Because of these donations, our classroom feels more dynamic, inclusive, and full of curiosity—and our students are truly thriving.\r\nThe reaction from the students was immediate excitement, especially when they discovered the I Survived series and the biographies. Anytime students get a chance to free read, they head straight to the classroom library to grab a Ðǿմ«Ã½ book, which has been amazing to watch. Their enthusiasm for reading has grown, and it's clear these books have helped turn free reading time into something they truly look forward to.","fullyFundedDate":1760373845930,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-learners/9822600/","projectTitle":"Empowering Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. DeLillo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10310175"},{"teacherId":5508260,"projectId":9816716,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity and support of our kindergarten classroom! The new resources have helped allow my students the opportunity for repetitive practice in reading and in math skills.\r\n\r\nMy students have been working hard the first two marking periods on their reading fluency. The timers that were donated have allowed my students opportunities to practice what it feels like to read fluently in a minute. This tool allowed 80% of my students to meet their individual reading fluency goal on their middle of the year assessment. 100% of my students grew in their reading this year with the help of the pocket charts. The dry erase pocket charts allow students to reuse papers for extra practice. Repeated readings help build confidence in reading.\r\n\r\nIn math my students have been using the pocket dry erase charts and dry erase markers with our workplace games. These hands on games allow students to build upon their place value skills, math fact fluency, and with skip counting activities. Repetitive practice helps build their confidence and become more fluent in math. \r\n\r\nOne of my students favorite donation is the digital clock. We talk about analog and digital clocks often in second grade. They love to compare the clocks and use it for time management. The digital clock is great to allow equitable access, allowing all students to know what time it is, even if they cannot read an analog clock. \r\n\r\nThe students and I are very thankful for the donations to help make our day run smoothly.","fullyFundedDate":1760304230234,"projectUrl":"project/support-engagement-for-all-by-helping-wi/9816639/","projectTitle":"Support Engagement for All by Helping With the Basics.","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clavette","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10308496"},{"teacherId":3316744,"projectId":9817423,"letterContent":"I truly cannot thank you enough for the contributions you have made towards literacy in my classroom. While many people love reading for fun, these books also help us teach important skills like understanding the main idea, making predictions, learning new vocabulary, and thinking deeply about characters and their choices. Students are practicing how to ask questions about what they read, make connections to their own lives, and talk about books with confidence. The variety of texts has also helped us meet different reading levels, so every child can feel successful and challenged.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is a joyful, busy time. You might see students curled up with a book during independent reading, reading with a partner, or sharing their thoughts during group discussions. We talk a lot about what good readers do—stopping to think, rereading when something is confusing, and using clues from the text. The room feels calm, focused, and excited, especially when students can't wait to turn the next page.\r\n\r\nSome students who were once hesitant readers are especially enjoying these new books. Having fresh, interesting choices has helped them find stories that truly grab their attention, and their confidence has grown so much. Thanks to your generosity, my students now have access to Spanish books for our classroom library, hands-on science center materials, and fidgets that have transformed both learning and the classroom environment.\r\nThe Spanish books have had an immediate and powerful impact. Many of my students are learning to read in Spanish for the first time, and having engaging, age-appropriate books in their home language has made them feel confident and excited to read. I've seen students proudly choose books, reread their favorites, and recommend titles to classmates. Our library has become a space where students feel represented, motivated, and eager to grow as readers.\r\nThe science centers have brought a new level of curiosity and engagement to our classroom. During center time, students worked hands-on to explore, observe, and discuss scientific concepts. I was especially struck by how focused and collaborative they became—students asked thoughtful questions, explained their thinking to partners, and showed perseverance when experiments didn't work the first time. These moments helped them see themselves as scientists and problem-solvers.\r\nThe fidgets have also made a meaningful difference, particularly for students who need extra support with focus and self-regulation. I noticed that students who previously struggled to stay engaged were better able to concentrate, participate in discussions, and complete tasks. The classroom felt calmer, more inclusive, and more supportive of different learning needs.\r\nBecause of you, my students are learning in an environment that values curiosity, inclusion, and joy. Your support has not only provided materials, but also opportunities for confidence, connection, and meaningful learning experiences that will stay with them well beyond this school year.\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for investing in their education.","fullyFundedDate":1760379191919,"projectUrl":"project/a-classroom-where-everyone-belongs/9822617/","projectTitle":"A Classroom Where Everyone Belongs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Salinas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10310179"},{"teacherId":2611077,"projectId":9829516,"letterContent":"My first grade students and I thank you so much for funding our project reading and games. They have helped increase socialization among my students and have made learning during recess both fun and purposeful. I have seen students who once struggled to interact now eagerly engaging with their peers through play.\r\nYour donation of books has also transformed our classroom library. It is now full of stories that my students truly love. They are constantly asking to try new books, explore different topics, and share what they are reading with one another. Watching their excitement for reading grow has been incredibly rewarding.\r\nI am also incredibly grateful for the anchor chart paper you provided. It allows my students and me to create visual representations of what we are learning, which has greatly enhanced understanding and retention of new concepts.\r\nIn addition, the new fidget toys and treasure box items have been a wonderful motivator. My students are so eager to earn these rewards, and they take great pride in choosing something for themselves. These small incentives have encouraged positive behavior and helped them stay focused as they work to become stronger, more confident learners.\r\nI am truly grateful for your kindness and support. They have been pivotal in helping my students come to physical education and stay active while simultaneously practicing their reading skills. \r\n\r\nWhen the students saw the new materials they were excited and curious as to how we would use them. For the younger kids, their favorite activity has been putting stuffed animals on the proper letter sound dot. They must do a movement around the room with a stuffed animal and then put that animal on the letter dot that matches the first sound of the animal name. This has given the younger children, and struggling readers, the opportunity to practice their skills in a fun way. We have also used the scarves and rings to play rhyming games. They must say a rhyme, throw the scarf, and catch it with the ring. This helps their coordination, collaboration skills, and rhyming skills. \r\n\r\nThank you again for the generous donations! I am not sure what the next steps will be, but I have a few ideas in mind! Some of the best ideas come from my students.
