They have also been working with the stories to recognize the numbers 1-10. The books we were able to add to our library have been popular with my students. We were so fortunate to be able to add so many books to our classroom library for math. \r\n\r\nThe manipulatives that we received are awesome. The ice cream cones were so fun to use, and we are still using them for counting. The light boards make number identification just a little bit more fun! Finding the number and having it glow on the screen is the best!\r\n\r\nWe were so lucky to be able to receive such great resources for my Kindergarten students, thanks to the State of Delaware grants on Donors Choose. This generosity helped not just my classroom but so many others in Delaware and is so very appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1760389213606,"projectUrl":"project/turning-pages-counting-numbers-a-story/9823399/","projectTitle":"Turning Pages, Counting Numbers: A Story-Based Math Journey","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Schultz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1918988"},{"teacherId":10311869,"projectId":9828514,"letterContent":"Thank you SO much for the donation to my art classroom at my Title I school North Smyrna Elementary in Smyrna, Delaware. It is so greatly appreciated that I was able to add more exciting things to my classroom to benefit literacy and learning. \r\n\r\nThe Little People Big Dreams books have been a big hit. We do read aloud days and on art choice day, the students can elect to read them independently. \r\n\r\nThe colored pencils holders are a huge help. They help with the organization of the pencils so that we can use them. \r\n\r\nThe MakeDo cardboard screw kits have been a huge hit. Within the resources I recieved, there are materials I can work on cognitive skills, social-emotional needs, adaptive skills, fine motor skills, and even play skills. So many options!\r\n\r\nThe resources will help so many children in our school district. I have a unique position in which I am able to go into the childcare centers in our district and work with children with special needs at their least restrictive environments when those are the childcare they attend. By pushing in to the classrooms, all the staff and children benefit from the educational impact and support I am able to provide during these sessions.
