The students were so incredibly excited to see all the new instruments as well as learn how to play them. They have very quickly become one of the new favorite instruments across all grade levels!\r\nOne of the students favorite activities has been to be able to use the mallet instruments with books. Their favorite book that we have read while using the new instruments was \"Pete the Cat Screams for Ice Cream.\" They were able to learn a new song to sing and play using the instruments during our first class using them and were able to play and sing along throughout the whole book.\r\nWith these new instruments, students have also been able to work on learning more hand-eye coordination by being able to use both hands when playing them. The instruments have also helped with the older students being able to learn the note names used in music. \r\nIn the future, I hope for the students to be able to learn more songs as well as to be able to create their own songs!","fullyFundedDate":1737762892422,"projectUrl":"project/new-mallet-instruments/9066205/","projectTitle":"New Mallet Instruments!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McMillian","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9619746"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44790","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":423,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":20.0,"schoolId":44790,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Waller Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Waller Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/bay-county-school-district/waller-elementary-school/44790"}
