When the boxes arrived, they eagerly gathered around to unpack them, amazed that these new tools were just for us. The very next day, we put them to use during our UFLI phonics lesson, and the energy in the room was electric. The students loved building words with the magnetic letters and practicing their handwriting on the boards. It turned what was once a simple routine into a hands-on, engaging experience that keeps everyone involved.\r\n\r\nThese materials have truly transformed our phonics instruction. My students are now able to physically manipulate sounds as they blend and segment words, which has helped strengthen their understanding of spelling patterns and phonemic awareness. They also take great pride in using the dry erase boards to neatly write out words and sentences — it's amazing how much more confident they've become as readers and writers. \r\n\r\nAs we continue through our UFLI lessons, these boards and letters will remain a core part of our daily learning routine. The impact of your kindness reaches far beyond this school year — you've given my students the tools to build strong literacy foundations that will benefit them for years to come. Thank you for believing in my students and helping them grow as confident, joyful learners!","fullyFundedDate":1755549060666,"projectUrl":"project/lets-make-words-stickliterally/9275493/","projectTitle":"Let’s Make Words Stick—Literally!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp565786_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1471650361354","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/tsimpson"},{"teacherId":9594785,"projectId":8499755,"letterContent":"First off, thank you so much for your donations! My students now know their spots on the carpet and are able to stay in their personal space. When they first saw the carpet in the classroom, they were so excited to see it! They promised to keep it clean and to be respectful towards it. This is the first time I've ever had a carpet in my room and I have to say it has made my classroom brighter and it feels more organized.
