This new equipment is already making a huge impact on our students' work. Getting specific with the materials, the pug attachment allows us to reclaim and recycle all of our clay scraps from pottery projects. This not only saves our class a significant amount of money on materials but, more importantly, it teaches the students valuable lessons about sustainability and resource management in the arts.\r\n\r\nThis experience has truly grown our skills and our understanding of the ceramic arts. The fact that I had multiple Carcassonne games allowed everyone to participate. The students can now finish the game in 30 minutes and use logic for some advanced moves in the game. They are really becoming pros with in how to place the meeples on the board and how to use the abbot to maximize points.\r\n\r\nThe experience has reinforced the belief that games in the classroom setting really can inject fun into the lesson while at the same time improving logic skills. When I greet a student before class, and one says, \"Can we play Carcassonne?\", I know it has impacted them in a most positive way. Even a couple teachers asked me about the game because students had mentioned it to them.\r\n\r\nYour kindness not only touched nearly one hundred students but has also impacted other teachers and me regarding the integration of games in the classroom setting. Before, Carcassonne was just a dream but now it is a reality in my classroom. For many, especially those from under-resourced communities, receiving school supplies can mean the difference between falling behind and thriving academically.
