Thank you so much for your generous support of our project, \"Empowering Connections: Building Emotional and Social Skills for a Brighter Tomorrow.\" Your help has made a big difference in our students' learning, allowing us to make the classroom more engaging and supportive.\r\nThe resources you provided, like the Lakeshore Feelings & Emotions Dough Mats and the Goosebumps Classic book set, have been key in helping our students understand emotions and build social skills. When the materials arrived, the students were very excited to start using the new books and activities, which boosted their interest in learning.\r\nOne memorable project was an art and writing activity where students used Magnetic Drawing Boards to draw scenes inspired by \"All the Bright Places.\" They then wrote stories that explored the emotions and challenges in their drawings. This not only improved their art skills but also helped them express their thoughts and feelings in a positive way.\r\nThe hand2mind Sensory Fidget Tubes and It's Okay To Not Be Okay book have been great additions to our classroom's \"Calm Down Corner.\" These tools have given students a comforting space to manage their emotions, which has helped them focus better during class.\r\nThe support from the Community First Cares Foundation has been crucial in making all this possible. Your contribution has greatly enriched our teaching by helping us include social-emotional learning in our lessons effectively. The students have not only learned more about their own feelings but also how to understand and care for others. This has helped create a friendly and supportive classroom environment.\r\nLooking ahead, we want to keep building on what these resources have helped us achieve. Our next project will involve working together on art and writing, focusing on community and identity. This will give students a chance to explore their cultural backgrounds and personal stories, helping them feel more connected and proud of who they are. In short, your support has made a big difference in our classroom. The materials you provided have opened up new ways for learning and personal growth, which will have a lasting impact on our students.\r\nThank you again for your kindness and belief in our project. We're excited to keep moving forward and share more successes with you in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1728067302470,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-connectionsbuilding-emotiona/8772435/","projectTitle":"Empowering Connections:Building Emotional and Social Skills for a Brighter Tomorrow!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Donas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9444204"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_46131","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":303,"numTeachers":11,"percentFrplEligible":85,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":76,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"27.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.2,"schoolId":46131,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Long Branch Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Long Branch Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/duval-county-public-schools/long-branch-elementary-school/46131"}
