It also showed them that there are people who truly care about their well-being and success.\r\n\r\nBeyond meeting a basic need, your support created a positive and welcoming environment where students could fully participate and benefit from the additional learning time. Your generosity has made a tremendous impact on our students and has enriched their learning environment in ways we cannot adequately thank you for. These contributions demonstrate your commitment to supporting education and your belief in our students' success. We are truly blessed to have such caring members of our community who understand how much these resources matter.\r\n\r\nThe moment our students laid eyes on the rotating bookshelf, the classroom erupted with excitement! Their faces lit up with wonder and joy as they discovered this beautiful new addition to our learning space. Students eagerly gathered around, running their fingers along the shelves and immediately requesting their favorite books. Several students who typically struggle with reading engagement suddenly became animated, asking if they could be the first to check out books. The bookshelf has already become a beloved focal point in our classroom, and we've noticed a significant increase in students' enthusiasm for reading since its arrival.\r\n\r\nWe also witnessed incredible enthusiasm when students received the scratch and sniff stickers as incentives for their hard work and positive behavior. The moment they caught the first whiff of these delightful stickers, squeals of delight filled the room! Students were thrilled to earn them through classroom achievements, and many couldn't resist scratching and sniffing their stickers repeatedly throughout the day. These small but meaningful rewards have motivated our learners to stay engaged and encouraged them to celebrate their successes together. Your donation has reminded our students that their efforts are recognized and valued.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your incredible generosity and support. As a school with students who tend to be on the lower socioeconomic part of the scale, it has been fulfilling to say the least to be able to take one thing off the plates of my parents. The headphones provided allow the students to block out unwanted noise to be able to focus on the work in front of them, which is no easy feat with a class of 5 and 6 year olds. The privacy boards also help to reduce the temptation to cheat as well as help those who tend to be easily distracted to be able to lock in on their individual assignments. Teaching children how to be neat and appreciate organized spaces helps to build better habits that can be carried forward into their professional careers. By providing a proper space for their worksheets, I can easily direct them to look inside the appropriate colored folder instead of having to turn the page for 20 people individually, which fosters independence and pride of ownership. Your impact is forever appreciated, not only for this class, but for future classes as well.","fullyFundedDate":1760384715343,"projectUrl":"project/immediate-needs/9639370/","projectTitle":"immediate needs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Marina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9635441_orig.jpg?crop=1380,1380,x231,y987&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727575697478","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/adderleym"},{"teacherId":10349098,"projectId":9892526,"letterContent":"Technology is used in many ways in my school. We incorporate technology into each subject using interactive activities that students can engage with. For example, during our reading time in the morning students may come in during the morning and get on a state-funded program called Lexia. It is used to track how students are progressing in their reading skills online. It covers a large variety of reading skills and can determine what skills students may be excelling in or may need additional practice in and continues pushing lessons that are tailored to them. \r\n\r\nWe use a similar program called I-Ready for math here. It works in the same way as Lexia, it tracks student progress and focuses on what they need to learn and can determine if they are on target, below, or above grade-level. \r\n\r\nWe also use projectors or tech boards that can show interactive videos found online that can engage students in call and responses so that they are able to learn more. I also am able to project any student materials on these projectors or tech boards so that students are able to follow along through guided practice work. \r\n\r\nTechnology is ingrained in every way we teach and can be extremely beneficial for all learners and can ease some teacher's stress when trying to account for how to get all students to where they need to be (on target). \r\n\r\nI hope this was an informational explanation of how technology is used in schools today.","fullyFundedDate":1764815206939,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-teacher-kindergarten-needs/9892526/","projectTitle":"First-Year Teacher Kindergarten Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10349098_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763041465931","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10349098"},{"teacherId":5838743,"projectId":10044056,"letterContent":"Thank you all so much for your generosity. We're using the new math resources to set up hands‑on stations where students explore number sense, geometry, and data through manipulatives and problem‑solving tasks. One recent project had students use base ten blocks and fraction tiles to model and compare decimals and fractions: they built representations, recorded observations, and justified their reasoning to partners. A memorable moment came when a pair used the tiles to resolve a disagreement about equivalence — their animated debate turned into a clear, student‑created explanation on the board.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, students reacted with delighted surprise — they immediately wanted to open everything and try activities. That joy translated into greater risk‑taking and collaboration during lessons, and we saw quieter students contribute more readily when manipulating concrete tools. Next, we'll extend the unit by having students collect and analyze classroom data using number lines and graphing tools, then design posters that explain their methods and findings. We plan to share student video demonstrations and written reflections so you can see the continued impact of your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1758126683152,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-innovation-through-math-educatio/9418415/","projectTitle":"Fueling Innovation Through Math Education","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5533875_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744672614106","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5533875"},{"teacherId":5838743,"projectId":9595895,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to help fund our classroom printer!
