It was wonderful to see the students' faces light up when I introduced the whisper phones in reading group. Many were fascinated to learn that phones weren't always flat and that this curved \"old‑style\" shape once mimicked real telephones—an unexpected little history lesson that made the materials even more exciting. Using the whisper phones has helped students hear themselves clearly, and even my shyest readers have grown more confident as they whisper‑read and listen to their own progress. I shared sets with our K–2 teachers so students across all early grades can benefit.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the whisper phones, our second graders were thrilled to receive enough word‑work sets for everyone during UFLI lessons. Last year, some students had to share, and missing pieces made it difficult for everyone to have complete boards. Thanks to your generosity, every student now has a full set to practice their phonics foundations. They love having their own board to manipulate, build words, and explore phonics patterns independently, which has made lessons smoother and much more engaging.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our current UFLI units, these materials are helping students strengthen their decoding skills and build confidence each day. Your support has enriched our entire K–2 community, giving young learners the tools they need to grow and succeed. Your donations towards our classroom have been accepted with such excitement by the students. Our project was meant to honor and embrace the many different cultures that are a part of our classroom community. The goal of having my students be seen and heard was successful.\r\n\r\nThe new diverse baby dolls show most of the cultures in our classroom. I have noticed students choosing to play with the baby doll that looks most like them when they are in that area of the classroom. The different baby dolls are also teaching my students acceptance towards differences. \r\n\r\nThe new dress up occupational clothes are used on a daily basis. It is wonderful to see students acting out the different professions and seeing themselves in each job role. It gives them opportunities to broaden their ideas about each job and helps them expand their vocabulary as well.\r\n\r\nFinally, the birthday crowns, bracelets, and lost tooth necklaces give my students a sense of belonging and allows them to build relationships with me. This is vital for our students so that they can try their best when learning each day.\r\n\r\nWe look forward to using these materials for months (and years) to come.
