Your selfless generosity has made an incredible difference in my classroom and with my students. My students use the chairs purchased Donor's choose every day, and they really enjoy the new graphic novels. I see students who I struggled to read light up when shown our graphic novel selection — both items have made our learning environment more engaging and comfortable.\r\n\r\nI also appreciate the school supplies you provided, including binders, dividers, and glue sticks. These items have helped me supplement the meager supply budget I receive from the state and made a real difference in what I can offer my students, many of whom come from situations where family finances are tight.\r\nYour support means a great deal to our classroom community. Thank you for investing in our students and their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1760628297287,"projectUrl":"project/graphic-palooza-help-us-bring-graphic-n/9651163/","projectTitle":"Graphic Palooza: Help us Bring Graphic Novels to the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Payne-Wong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9895542_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754578701619","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9895542"},{"teacherId":10270669,"projectId":9733333,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your help in funding this project. My students have been using the computer to complete research for projects, to stay up to date on their grades, and to complete virtual labs. In our current unit on Energy and Heat, the students aren't just reading about molecules; they are using simulation software (PhET Labs) to \"see\" the invisible. The technology allows them to manipulate variables—like increasing the thermal energy in a closed system—and immediately see the Law of Conservation of Energy in action. The most exciting aspect of the PhET labs for my students is the freedom to experiment without fear of \"breaking\" equipment or making a mess. There is a palpable buzz in the room when they realize they can build their own systems—connecting a solar panel to a lightbulb or a water turbine to a heater—and track exactly how energy flows and changes form. They aren't just reading about the Law of Conservation of Energy; they are witnessing it in real-time. This \"gamified\" approach to complex thermodynamics has turned what is usually a challenging topic into one of the most popular units of the year.\r\n\r\nI've noticed a profound impact on my kinesthetic learners and students who typically find science intimidating. One particular student, who often felt overwhelmed by the math involved in heat equations, found his \"aha!\" moment while using the \"States of Matter\" simulation. By manually adding and removing heat and watching the phase changes happen before his eyes, the logic clicked for him in a way a textbook never managed.\r\n\r\nI can't thank you enough for your contribution to my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1758923630986,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-innovation-to-the-classroom-te/9733333/","projectTitle":"Bringing Innovation to the Classroom: Technology Grant Proposal","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Borcyk","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10270669"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_42286","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":910,"numTeachers":61,"percentFrplEligible":59,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":55.9,"schoolId":42286,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morgan Fitzgerald Middle School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Morgan Fitzgerald Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/pinellas-county-schools/fitzgerald-middle-school/42286"}
