My 5th graders are naturally energetic learners who thrive when they can move and make choices about their learning space – and thanks to you, they now have exactly what they need to succeed.\r\n\r\n What I've discovered is something truly powerful: when my students feel comfortable, they genuinely enjoy learning more! These floor seats have created that perfect comfort level that allows them to focus on what matters most – their education. I watch students settle into their seats with visible relief and excitement, knowing they can learn without the distraction of being uncomfortable.\r\n\r\n What amazes me most is watching students actively choose their floor seats over their traditional desks! During research time, they eagerly grab their seats and find comfortable spots around the room. When it's time for silent reading, there's always a gentle scramble to claim the perfect spot with a floor seat. Many of my students have told me they can concentrate better and read longer when they're settled comfortably on their floor chairs rather than sitting upright at their desks.\r\n\r\n When I unveiled the bright, colorful floor seats, the classroom erupted in cheers! Within minutes, students were testing the different positions of the new chairs. The joy on their faces as they realized they could finally be comfortable while learning was absolutely priceless.\r\n\r\n Students come in every day eager to find their own space with their flex chairs. They have worked well for our research, for our literature circles, and across all our learning activities.\r\n\r\n Your gift has given my students something invaluable: the message that their comfort, choices, and individual learning styles truly matter. They're not just learning content anymore – they're learning that they have the power to create environments where they can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1761679149970,"projectUrl":"project/get-down-to-learning-floor-chairs-for-s/9860189/","projectTitle":"Get Down to Learning: Floor Chairs for Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lenerz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6455357"},{"teacherId":8574744,"projectId":8985631,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom! The new reading supplies have already made a noticeable impact. My students are using the phonics kits during small-group lessons to practice decoding, and we've introduced the comprehension tools in our reading circles to strengthen their understanding of texts. One special moment came when a student who had been hesitant to read aloud, successfully completed a passage using the phonics cards—he beamed with pride, and the entire group applauded his effort.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with excitement. They were eager to try the activities and especially curious about the treasure box rewards, which have already become a strong motivator for completing assignments thoughtfully.\r\n\r\nAs our next step, we're working on a project called \"Reading Detectives\", where students use the comprehension tools to uncover \"clues\" in a story—identifying main ideas, making predictions, and drawing conclusions. With your support, they are not only building reading skills but also developing confidence and joy in learning.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping create these meaningful opportunities.
