Students will move beyond learning coding on a screen to seeing it come alive as they program Sphero to light up, race through mazes, and solve challenges. These activities will help them strengthen problem-solving, teamwork, and computational thinking skills in a fun and engaging way.\r\n\r\nWe are especially excited that this project will allow students to design and test their own programs, giving them confidence as they see their ideas in action. Our Esports team will also use Sphero as a platform to share their expertise at school-related events, mentoring younger students and showcasing how technology connects across programs. Most importantly, the Sphero will be featured at our annual STEMTASTIC event, where our students will mentor younger grades by guiding them through coding activities and interactive challenges. This year, we look forward to sparking even more creativity, collaboration, and leadership—all made possible through your support.","fullyFundedDate":1741697115360,"projectUrl":"project/rolling-into-coding-sphero-adventures/9114153/","projectTitle":"Rolling into Coding: Sphero Adventures","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Denise","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6359801_orig.jpg?crop=808,808,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1554212319676","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-spence-fl"},{"teacherId":9435221,"projectId":9027300,"letterContent":"I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of Dunbar High School Technology Student Association, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contribution towards equipping our podcasting studio. Thanks to your support, we are now able to bring our vision to life and create a space that fosters creativity, storytelling, and meaningful conversations.\r\n\r\nThe new equipment has already made an incredible difference. It has not only elevated the quality of our productions but also empowered us to focus on what truly matters: producing content that informs, inspires, and connects with our audience.\r\n\r\nYour generosity goes far beyond the tangible items you have provided. You have invested in the voices and stories that will shape our community and beyond. Every episode we produce will carry your impact, amplifying messages that matter and creating lasting change.\r\n\r\nWhile the donated equipment was well received, we did not place in the Top 10 at the Florida State Technology Student Association Conference in Orlando this past February. And, as we were setting the equipment uip to get ready for last year, we noticed that the microphone jack in the back of the console is no longer responding, but our students have been able to find a workaround to make it functional for next year's competition. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for believing in us and for your unwavering support. You have made a meaningful impact, and we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1736093361773,"projectUrl":"project/technology-student-association-podcastin/9027300/","projectTitle":"Technology Student Association Podcasting Studio Equipment","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Perretta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9435221_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1716765377565","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dhs-tiger-tsa"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_69630","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1734,"numTeachers":103,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":30,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":56,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":57.5,"schoolId":69630,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dunbar High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Dunbar High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/the-school-district-of-lee-county/dunbar-high-school/69630"}
