I would not have been able to provide the thorough and necessary lessons, guidance, and overall support. This is my first year as a school counselor and I did not have had the resources to create such an inviting and incredible environment. I am always complimented on my office from students, families and staff members. \r\n\r\nTypically, when students enter my office the first thing that grabs their attention are the fidgets placed on the table. They immediately grab one of the fidgets and feel an instance sense of peace and joy. While they disclose heavy feelings and important information it helps to have something where they can aimlessly fiddle with. \r\nI also like to start our sessions with lots of social emotional learning content that was provided.
