Your support has already made a noticeable difference in the day-to-day operations of our music program, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to our students' success.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our band, orchestra, and choir programs now have the ability to make consistent, high-quality copies of any and all music needed. This means that every student can be equipped with the proper materials on time, without delay or compromise. For the first time, our band program can form a jazz band, allowing students to explore a style of music they've only studied from the outside until now. The orchestra will now have the proper percussion accompaniment to bring their showpieces to life, while the chorus will be able to add a new depth and rhythm to their performances.\r\n\r\nYour kindness will not only enhance concerts and events for our school and community, but it will also inspire our students to reach higher, perform with greater confidence, and pursue their passion for the arts with renewed excitement.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our program and investing in the future of our students. While building a wheel and axle model, students gained a hands-on understanding of simple machines and their real-world applications. They were able to explore how force and motion work together, improving their problem-solving skills and mechanical thinking. As they connected pieces, tested movement, and made adjustments, they practiced critical thinking and collaboration in a fun, engaging way that brought abstract STEM concepts to life.\r\n\r\nThe earthquake simulator project was equally impactful, allowing students to model plate tectonics and observe the effects of seismic activity. Through this activity, students explored how tectonic plates shift and how those shifts can lead to environmental changes such as ground shaking, structural damage, and landslides. They also learned how earthquakes are measured using the Richter and Moment Magnitude Scales. The project sparked curiosity and discussion, and the interactive nature of the simulator made the learning experience enjoyable and memorable. Overall, the use of Strawbees Robotics fostered creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of complex scientific topics.","fullyFundedDate":1733807657858,"projectUrl":"project/innovating-tomorrow-with-smart-machines/8862893/","projectTitle":"Innovating Tomorrow with Smart Machines Today","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rushing","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9796233"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_99468","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1364,"numTeachers":88,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":78,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.8,"schoolId":99468,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eddie J.
