Many of my second graders come from low-income households and do not have educational games at home, so these materials give them opportunities to practice important skills in a fun, low stress way. The games will help students strengthen foundational math skills such as counting, addition, subtraction, place value, and number recognition. In reading, they are building phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension while staying motivated and focused. \r\nMore importantly these games will encourage collaboration, turn-taking, and positive peer interactions.
