The donations that were given to our classroom has changed our lives tremendously. The microscopes that we received helped us to view various slides including slides of plant leaves, human blood cells & human cheek cells. Our science class would have been nearly impossible to teach without the instruments that were donated to us by you. My classroom and other staff members would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. \r\n Our class would also like to thank you for the lysol wipes that were very helpful in keeping the classroom germs at a minimum which promoted more class time & less time at the nurse's station. The students cleaned their desks after each class period as we know flu season is at an all time high. \r\n The dry erase markers were a wonderful donation as we used them quite often to aid in lectures & classroom discussions. We have played numerous review games including chapter, and unit reviews and the markers were exactly what we needed. \r\n The students were shocked that each day there were packages being delivered especially for them, as a result it made the students feel really special. The snacks that were donated were another favorite of theirs, and I used them as rewards each time the students reached goals which promoted friendly competition and encouraged the students to strive to do better than their peers. \r\n In addition to all of the positive tokens that the donations has brought to our classroom and to our school we would like to show our appreciation by keeping the equipment long term, especially the microscopes, by handling them with care. As a class we pride ourselves on taking care of the equipment, so that others in the future may be able to have a great hands-on experience as well.","fullyFundedDate":1758124238159,"projectUrl":"project/more-sci-fi-less-wi-fi/9679960/","projectTitle":"More Sci-fi & Less Wi-fi","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mahone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10234404_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757817968491","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10234404"},{"teacherId":9927242,"projectId":9120958,"letterContent":"The donation of microscope slides had a significant and positive impact on my 7th grade science students. These materials allowed students to engage in hands-on learning experiences that brought our life science curriculum to life. For many, it was their first time using a microscope, and having access to professionally prepared slides helped them clearly observe and understand the structure of cells, tissues, and microorganisms.\r\n\r\nThe slides deepened students' comprehension of key biological concepts, such as cell theory and the differences between plant and animal cells. More importantly, they sparked curiosity and excitement about science. Students were eager to explore, ask questions, and share their observations, which enriched classroom discussions and fostered a sense of discovery.\r\n\r\nThanks to this generous donation, our lab activities became more interactive, meaningful, and aligned with real-world scientific practices. It empowered my students to think and work like young scientists—an opportunity that will stay with them as they continue their academic journey.","fullyFundedDate":1740260748381,"projectUrl":"project/seeing-in-cells/9120958/","projectTitle":"Seeing In Cells","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lievsay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9927242"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_68465","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":174,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":91,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":63,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":67.5,"schoolId":68465,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Greenville Middle School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Greenville Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/meriwether-county-school-district/greenville-middle-school/68465"}
