When the breakfast food, water, and reusable water bottles arrived, it made an immediate difference in our daily routine.\r\nOne specific moment that really stood out to me was during morning work. In the past, a few of my students struggled to focus first thing in the morning, especially if they hadn't eaten breakfast. Now, students are able to grab a quick breakfast item as they come in, and it has helped create a calmer, more settled start to our day. I've noticed improved focus, longer attention spans, and fewer behavior issues during our morning instruction.\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were beyond excited. Their faces lit up, especially when they realized the water bottles were theirs to keep. Several students said things like, \"Now I won't be so thirsty in class!\" and \"I didn't eat this morning, so I'm glad we have this.\" It was a powerful reminder of how much even small supports can impact a child's day.\r\nOverall, these resources have helped meet basic needs so that my students can focus on learning. I am incredibly grateful for the support and the difference it is making in our classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1762821646530,"projectUrl":"project/hungry-for-knowledge-not-food/9495721/","projectTitle":"Hungry for Knowledge, Not food","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hurst","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10091461_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755903022466","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10091461"},{"teacherId":7840999,"projectId":8912774,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation. I was overjoyed and overwhelmed with excitement when the materials were delivered to the school. When the students saw the resources, they were very inquisitive about what they were and how the materials would be used during instruction.\r\n\r\nStudents love using the wands to help them track as they read. Kindergarten through second grade students enjoyed choosing their favorite color wand to help them to practice reading their decodable texts fluently. I also enjoyed having students to use the mirror to practice articulating sounds. With the mirrors, students could see the formation of their mouth as they produced certain sounds. I am excited for the growth that was seen with students and their confidence with literacy.","fullyFundedDate":1731891951794,"projectUrl":"project/building-the-foundation-for-brilliant-re/8912774/","projectTitle":"Building the Foundation for Brilliant Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nicholson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7840999_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689103590977","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7840999"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50251","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":263,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":72,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":54.7,"schoolId":50251,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Key Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Key Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/muscogee-county-school-district/key-elementary-school/50251"}
