We were able to use the remote-control candles in our pool noodle candle project to create a gorgeous mid Victorian, spooky castle scene for Lady M in our production of MacB. We used the cauldron for the forest witch's scene to go on top of the fire our stage craft team made out of paper and flashlights. It looked beautiful and gave us a place to pull our painted apparitions out of and dance and sing \"double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble\". \r\n\r\nWe are also excited to use the magnetic picture frames and the feeling wheel to put up in our classroom once it is newly renovated. We had some really cool paintings donated by our local Idaho Shakespeare Festival and can now display them neatly. We love making our classroom and productions look as nice and inspirational as possible. \r\n\r\nThe Stage Craft students were so excited as they placed the apparitions and cauldron onto the fire and as we saw the pool noodle candles light up for the first time. The actors were thrilled as their production began to fill out with props and set pieces that helped draw them further into the world of the play. We are so grateful to know that we can reach out to our Donors Choose community for the odds and ends that each unique performance requires and to help create a cozy classroom while our school undergoes renovations! We have a great group of students who are avidly reading their Idaho Battle of the Books (IBOB) books to prepare for the battles that will start after winter break. \r\nOur group of readers have been enjoying the varied genres and have started writing practice questions to help with battle preparation. Several of the book titles have spread by word-of-mouth and have become popular with students who are not participating in IBOB - but have found a joy of reading. \r\nThere are several IBOB teams who participated last year, and they are excited to try to qualify for the regional tournament and hopefully for the first ever state level tournament.
